Catholics in Cambodia's 'killing fields' of 1970s

The appalling genocidal killings under the Lon Nol regime in Cambodia in the 1970s took a disproportionately heavy toll on the country's Catholic minority, writes George Marlin for The Catholic Thing.
Catholics accounted for only about 4% of Cambodia's population when the murderous regime took power. But because they were concentrated in the nation's cities, where the bloodshed was most intense, their suffering was acute. Nearly half of Cambodia's Catholics were killed.
